This course continues the study of the chromatic elements of Western music, followed by an introduction to Twentieth-Century music. Special emphasis is made on the analysis of tonal and post-tonal harmony and structures through score study, composition projects, and class performances. Prerequisites: MUS 222 and 224 with ā€œCā€ or better; or by placement exam. Hours 2.
