This foundation course introduces an overview of history, principles, processes and terminology of typography. Type sensitivity is developed through a variety of means: classifying and identifying typefaces, designing typographic logotypes, as well as designing with type. The majority of work is created on the computer. Prerequisite: ART 130 , ART 131 , ART 132 , ART 234 , ART 262 . Credit 3.
