The course may focus on a, theme, e.g., environmental writing;, a genre, a writer or a group of writers,, e.g.; the Beat Poets; a literary or cultural, movement, e.g., the Harlem Renaissance,, or some aspect of American history or culture as, it is reflected, explored, and influenced by, American writers.
