The course will cover correctional, history, philosophy, sentencing and statutes in, corrections, organization and management of jails, and prisons, and aspects of prison life., Alternative sanctions such as probation, parole,, and intermediate sanctions, offender programming, within and outside of institutions, and, characteristics of the offender population will be, examined as well.
