To understand the molecular basis of life., Organic chemistry is largely limited to aliphatic, (non-benzenoid) structure and functional groups, which occur in the structure and function of, bioorganisms. Biochemistry is introduced with, structural studies of carbohydrates, lipids, and, proteins.
