A one-semester introduction to the concepts of phyics for students planning to teach in elementary and middle schools. Topics include structure and properties of matter, mechanics, electricity, magnetism, heat, light and sound. Laboratory experiments are an integral part of this course. Pre-requisite: MT 120 or greater. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours).
