Focuses on common drugs, their classification and effects on functional and dysfunctional health patterns (value/belief, rest/sleep, health perception/health management, nutritional/metabolic and elimination health patterns). Emphasizes nursing responsibility, accountability, and application of the nursing process regarding drug therapy. Prerequisite: (NSG 101 and BIO 139) with a grade of C or higher and PSY 223. Corequisite: NSG 210 and (NSG 211 or NSG 212 or NSG 213). Prerequisite or corequisite: ENG 101 and Oral Communication. Lecture: 1 credit (15 contact hours).
