Focuses on the comprehensive assessment of individuals throughout the lifespan. Utilizing the nursing process in care for clients with complex health care needs. Application of knowledge acquired in NIP 205: Pathophysiology for Nursing Practice in relation to the management of clients with cancer, problems of the hematological system, problems of the peripheral vascular system, and respiratory tract across the lifespan. Prerequisite: Completion, with a grade of C or better, in NIP 120, NIP 125, and NIP 130 OR successful completion of a Practical Nursing curriculum. Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Corequisite: NIP 2103 and NIP 2104 and NIP 205. Prerequisite or corequisite: MT 150 and NIP 2101. Lecture: 0.75 credit (11.25 contact hours). Laboratory/Clinical: 0.75 credit (33.75 contact hours).
