Focuses on continued development of knowledge of pathophysiology and of complex disease processes in relation to endocrine, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and renal/urinary systems. Determines cause and prevention of morbidity and mortality. Applies knowledge in this course to the clinical setting in NIP 2103. Prerequisite: Completion, with a grade of C or better, in NIP 120 and NIP 125 and NIP 130 OR successful completion of a Practical Nursing curriculum. Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Corequisite: NIP 2054 and NIP 210. Prerequisite or corequisite: MT150 and NIP2051 and NIP2052. Lecture: 1 credit (15 contact hours).
