Perform clinical practice in an acute care facility. Begin to assume the role of a competent practical nurse utilizing the basic human caring phenomena and the nursing process to guide effective clinical decision making. Prerequisite: Completion, with a grade of C or better, of NIP 110, NIP 115 and NIP 120 and NIP 125 and NIP 130. Students must have Basic Life Support certification, current liability insurance coverage and current immunizations for the duration of the course. Prerequisite or corequisite: NIP 1401 and NIP 1402. Clinical: 2 credits (90 contact hours).
