Provides detailed training in the operations of boilers, fuel, air, combustion and emissions systems including auxiliary equipment of a coal-fired (fossil fueled) power plant. Proper operation during normal operations, startups and shutdowns, and transient conditions will be stressed. Prerequisite: ES 211 or consent of instructor. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours).
