PREREQ: Eligibility for MATH 084 and ENGL&101. Survey of sustainable agriculture with particular attention to the Pacific Northwest. Course explores crop biodiversity, weed and pest management, livestock production and organic crop propagation. In addition, issues such as water use and pollution, natural resource conservation and energy use will be presented in the context of sustainable farms. Lab science. Weekend field trip.
