This course provides instruction in basic nursing care skills including HIV/AIDS, and 72 hours of supervised clinical training in a long-term care facility. After successful completion of the Nursing Assistant Program, students are eligible to sit for the State of Washington NAC exam for certification as a Nursing Assistant. Requirements: English placement test scores - CASAS-220 minimum score (reading and listening) or COMPASS-40 minimum score on reading portion within last 3 years or transcript with ENGL 095/096 or higher. Must attend information session. Information sessions are scheduled on 8/10 at 3 PM, 8/11 at 6 PM and 8/17 at 10 AM all in room 1303 of the Instruction Building.. Do not need to sign up in advance.
