(Formerly MATH 100) Course for students entering a program in a health medical field, this class will review basic arithmetic and algebra and extend these concepts to the mathematics required for health care of children and adults. The class will cover calculations involving decimal and fractional numbers, ratios, proportions, and percents. Also addressed will be basic algebraic techniques to solve equations involving unknowns and proportions. Prerequisite: MATH 081 or placement into MATH 084 or MATH 097. ENGL& 101 recommended.
