Provides content design to explore the physical principles and instrumentation involved in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Examines the history and evolution of MRI, physics of radiation, and MRI specific physics. Explores MRI systems operations to include: configuration, collimation, functions, processing and quality. Prerequisite: RADI 216 or RADI 201, or equivalent; a current second-year student in an accredited Radiography or Nuclear Medicine Program; ARRT or NMTCB registered or consent of the instructor. Lecture: 3.0 credits (45 contact hours).
