Includes the basic physical science, data collection, and principles of selected physical therapy interventions including, massage, superficial heat and cold, sound agents, electromagnetic radiation electrotherapy, biofeedback, traction, hydrotherapy, and compression therapy. Pre-requisite: Admission to the PTA Program; Completion of PTA 1501, PTA 1502, PTA 120, PTA 121, PTA 170 with a C or better. Co-requisite: PTA 222, PTA 223, PTA 232, PTA 233, PTA 203, PTA 240. Student cannot progress to PTA 240 without a grade of C or better in all other co-requisite courses. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours).
