Focuses on patient care and imaging areas of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). Explores topics of image formation, tissue characteristics, resolution, imaging options and parameters, post processing, and patient characteristics. Discusses specific MRI and MRA exams for image body systems. Prerequisite: RADI 216 or RADI 201, or equivalent; a current second-year student in an accredited Radiography or Nuclear Medicine Program; ARRT or NMTCB registered or consent of the instructor. Lecture: 3.0 credits (45 contact hours).
