Focuses on common drugs, their classification and effects on functional and dysfunctional health patterns (activity-exercise, coping/stress/tolerance, role/relationship, altered self-perception/self-concept, and cognitive perceptual). Emphasizes nursing responsibility, accountability, and application of the nursing process regarding drug therapy. Prerequisite: ((NSG 220 and (NSG 211 or NSG 212 or NSG 213) and BIO 225 with a grade of C or higher) and ENG 102. Corequisite: NSG 230 and (NSG 211 or NSG 212 or NSG 213). Prerequisite or corequisite: Heritage/Humanities/Foreign Language. Lecture: 1 credit (15 contact hours).
