Covers procurement, preparation, quality control, dispensing, patient dosage calculation, identification documentation, administration, disposal, storage, and safe handling of radioactive materials used by the nuclear medicine technologist. Includes commonly used pharmaceuticals in Nuclear Medicine, including dosages side effects, contraindications, adverse reactions and antagonists. (CT contrast media administration.) Prerequisite: ((NMMI 160 and NMMI 161 and NMMI 170) with a grade of C or greater) or consent of instructor. Corequisite: NMMI 220 or consent of instructor. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours).
