An introduction to the basics of singing( i.e breath, resonance, support, articulation,registration and interpretation) This course will focus on achievement and application of the beginning principles of healthy vocal technique.Prerequisites:Dance Major with a Jazz Concentration/BFA Acting or elective with permission. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to: (1) Develop a process for independent preparation of vocal development. (2) Communicate with an accompanist. (3) Utilize musical and vocal terminology (4) Understood human anatomy as it pertains to vocal production. (4) Understand human anatomy as it pertains to vocal production. (5) Apply the foundations for a healthy vocal technique using a song for auditions.
