An introduction to the fundamental foundation of voice training for the actor; physical awareness, breath, and the free release of sound. Resonance, range, articulation, vocal clarity and expressiveness are also emphasized. Course Objectives(1) Execute a specific vocal warm-up to be used before rehearsal and performance(2) Address and reduce habitual patterns of tension(3) Be heard and understood in a variety of performance spaces(4) Employ the natural speaking voice(5) Have a firm understanding of the fundamental elements of vocal production as outlined in (6) Begin to integrate voice skills with acting skills
