Development of conversational fluency and practical composition. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Continue progress in obtaining all objectives of SPAN 101 and 102 and (2) Improve oral communication skills in Spanish in order to engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions (adapted from ACTFL Standard 1.1, Third Edition Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century, published by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages [ACTFL], available on the ACTFL website at www.actfl.org), accessed on 9/9/08). (3) Understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics (adapted from ACTFL Standard 1.2, cited above).
