Basic computer skills will be taught and incorporated in the search, organization, reporting and analysis of information. Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Identify information needs (2) Demonstrate fundamental operating skills with a microcomputer (3) Develop practical applications using Microsoft Word as a word processing program (4) Develop a basic understanding of how the Internet works (5) Develop a basic knowledge of how to use the Internet to research information (6) Demonstrate a basic understanding of information sources in all forms and formats (7) Evaluate the quality and authenticity of information (8) Communicate information in written, oral, presentation form
