Course Objectives Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) Develop an understanding of the vagaries of owning and operating a business (2) Summarize information about the various approaches that can be used in solving some of the issues that arise in starting and operating a new business (3) Communicate some of the unique issues involved in using the franchise method of starting a new business (4) Develop knowledge of when it is advisable to seek professional assistance in starting and operating a new business
