4220. Post War European Film. 3 hours. Examine three major film movements that developed in Europe after WWII, these are : ITALIAN NEOREALISM, THE FRENCH NEW WAVE, and BRITISH NEW WAVE. Identifies the historical and cultural influences behinde these film movements and explore the aesthetics of each movement and how these aesthetics reflect the philosophical and / or political ideals of the filmmakers.
