5730. 3 hours. This course is the first half of a two-part survey of the physical and psychosocial aspects of medical conditions frequently encountered by the rehabilitation counseling professional. Focus is upon application of medical information and models of the process of psychosocial adjustment to disability in the rehabilitation counseling process. This first course covers sensory, neurological, developmental, substance abuse and psychiatric disorders, including an orientation to the DSM-IV.
