4720. Organ Service Playing I. 2 hours. (1;1) Intense study of basic hymn playing, harmonic progressions, melody harmonization, open score reading (including alto and tenor clefs), modulation, figured bass, transposition and elementary improvisation. Successful completion of this course allows students to compete for major church positions and prepare for the AAGO certification. Prerequisite(s): MUTH 2500 and 2510.
