5220. Survey Sampling. 3 hours. Introduction to sampling theory and applications. Attention is focused on major survey sampling techniques, including cluster, ratio, stratified and simple random sampling. Principal concepts and methods of acceptance sampling that are useful in quality control are presented, including operating characteristic curves, and single, double and sequential sampling plans for attributes and variables. Prerequisite(s): MSCI 5180 or consent of department.
