4180. Techniques in Molecular Biology. 4 hours. (1;4) Advanced molecular biology laboratory methodology. Techniques include gene cloning, plasmid purification, restriction analysis, DNA fingerprinting and DNA sequencing. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2040, BIOL 3451/3452 and organic chemistry or consent of department; concurrent enrollment in BIOL 4190. May not be repeated at the graduate level as BIOL 5180. May not be used for advanced biology hours for the BA in biology. Offered only in a five-week summer session.
