(1;0) Radiation sources, interaction of radiation with matter and human tissues, radiation measurement and dosage, instrumentation, regulations and practical safety procedures. Meets state training requirements for use of radioactive isotopes or radiation producing equipment. Prerequisite(s): 12 hours of biology, chemistry, or physics, or combination of the three. May not be repeated at the graduate level as BIOL 5080. (Same as BIOL 5080.)
