Women and Gender in U.S. History - Three semester hours This course explores the study of women, gender and sexuality in the United States with primary focus from the mid-nineteenth through the twentieth centuries. It is the goal of this course to encourage the analysis and discussion of the social, political, and economic meanings of gender in the United States by examining the experiences of women and men from a variety of cultural vantage points using both primary and secondary sources. Prerequisite and/or Corequisite Majors: Hist 253. Non-Majors: may enroll with consent of instructor. %
