Provides students with skills to succeed at college and to proceed into medicine, nursing or another health profession. Includes modules in oral communication, written communication, medical terminology, how to succeed in college, biomedical ethics, microbiology, genetics, anatomy and physiology. Supplemented with guest lectures by medical faculty, nursing faculty and other health professionals, tours of medical and teaching facilities, and job-shadowing of doctors, nurses and other health professionals. Registration Restrictions: Admission to the Alaska WWAMI biomedical program's Della Keats/UDoC program.
