This course offers exploration of leadership and management principles applicable to the role of the nurse as provider of care, coordinator of care, and member of the profession as they apply to the management of care for all types of clients (i.e. neonatal, pediatrics, obstetric, psychiatric and medical-surgical). It includes application of knowledge, judgment, skills, and professional values within a legal/ethical framework. This course lends itself to a blocked approach. (Course is 10 weeks.) Lec 1, Cr 1.
