This course is an introduction of the principles and procedures of various tests performed in Clinical Chemistry. This course presents the physiological basis for the test, the principle and procedure for the test, and the clinical significance of the test results including quality control and normal values. Also includes basic laboratory techniques, chemical laboratory safety, electrolytes, acid-base balance, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, enzymes, metabolites, endocrine function, and toxicology.
