This course introduces basic concepts of electric power generation, utilization, and power networks. Modeling of power system components are presented. Power systems functions and issues are presented and discussed. The associated laboratory will introduce power instrumentation and explore power factor correction, transformers, synchronous machines and induction machines. Lec 3, Lab 3, Cr 4.
