Prerequisites: TCED 4033 and Admission to Teacher Education Program, successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in TCED 4033 (except the EC-4 Generalist and the EC-12 Special Education Certification Program). Curriculum planning, instructional activities and assessment techniques for developing social studies knowledge, citizenship and critical thinking skills; emphasis on sound practice and research based strategies for teaching social studies for EC-4 candidates. Field experience required.
