Prerequisite: Foundation courses. This course provides a detailed coverage of the systems engineering process and system engineering tools that facilitate implementation of the process. The course covers the complete systems life cycle from needs assessment and feasibility analysis through requirements, design, and testing to system retirement and disposal. The student will gain an in-depth understanding of the International Council on Systems Engineering Capability Maturity Model including assessments and process improvement. The student will also gain proficiency in the use of commercial system engineering tools that facilitate the implementation and management of the systems engineering process.
