Course provides the first of three levels of training in the area of conducting for those studying the Kodßly Method of teaching. Activities are designed to develop conducting gesture and technique, score analysis and preparation, and rehearsal strategies based on Kodßly principles. In choral ensemble, students perform a variety of musical style periods and genres, use relative solmization for reading, and focus on pure intonation.
