The poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge wrote that looking at art demands the willing suspension of disbelief. This course links the very human act of looking to the transcendental in art and life. Through lectures, discussions, life model studies, and individual projects, students will examine the question of seeing and will apply it to their own creative work in the studio. Instructor approval required. Prerequisites: Art Major Students enrolled in this course will have a course fee assessed to their student account.
