The standard definistion of E-Commerce (electronic commerce, EC, or e-business) is the buying and selling of goods and services on the Internet, especially the World Wide Web. Not only will this course provide students with an overall understanding of the history, development, and economics of e-commerce, but also provide students with a working knowledge of the terms, concepts, and components of E-Commerce, including e-tailing, market research and privacy, electronic data interchange (EDI), e-mail, Internet telephony, business-to-business transactions, and Internet security.
