A broad, comprehensive review of theories, trends, research, and psychological interventions related to health and human behavior. Biological, psychological and social factors involved in health issues will be discussed, along with a more pragmatic understanding of the connection between physical health and psychological processes and behavior. Specific health concerns to be discussed include: stress and coping, cardiovascular disease, chronic illnesses, substance abuse, eating disorders, AIDS, women's health issues in ethnically diverse societies, and health across the lifespan.
