How this has occurred will be our focus as we examine both the historic and the artistic contexts of the cinema, giving special attention to the cross-cultural implications of each. Representative landmark films of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States will be screened for study, evaluation, and criticism. Offered periodically.
