Topics may include: Puritanism, the Making of Political Democracy, Transcendentalism, Social Darwinism, Progressivism, Pragmatism, Socialism, Keynesianism and Feminism. Students will use historical documents and the works of intellectual figures to explore the many facets of the American intellectual tradition. Prerequisite: EMS
