Design of a real-time microprocessor-based instrumentation or control system. Requires the design and implementation of system hardware and software. Project topics include developing specifications, evaluating technologies and costs, and design techniques. Technical topics include sensors, op-amps, filters, data conversion, error analysis, and computer interfacing. Prerequisites: ELEC 245 or ELEC 340 and permission of the instructor.
