Fundamental principles of physical, chemical, and biological treatment systems used in the treatment of air, soil, and water in the field of environmental engineering. The course focuses on coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, gas/liquid transfer, absorption, biological treatment, and the design and analysis of these technologies in environmental treatment processes. Laboratory experiments are used to demonstrate and reinforce theory of these processes.
