A continuation of Italian 1, Elementary Italian II is offered only during the Winter quarter. This course continues presenting the basic elements of the Italian language: sounds, essential vocabulary and grammatical structures. Daily exercises will aid the student to attain a firm grasp of the spoken and written language. Elements of Italian culture, geography and customs are presented weekly to arouse student interest and to provide topics for discussions. Prerequisite: ITAL 1, or two years of high school Italian, or equivalent.
