This course will provide the student with an introductory experience to becoming a reflective literacy practitioner. Students will learn to develop and demonstrate instructional strategies which foster a holistic view of learning to read and write--to emphasize connections among all areas of the curriculum and the interrelatedness of knowledge and the mutually reinforcing skills of reading, writing, listening, speaking, viewing, and representing visually.
