Opportunity for students to employ sociological insights in human service/community, government, or business organizations. Students spend the majority of class time off campus and then reflect on their experiences through discussions in class and papers. May be repeated once for credit, under certain circumstances and with the approval of the sociology chair. Prerequisites: An overall GPA of 2.7 or permission of the sociology chair is necessary. Students must register with the internship coordinator the quarter before they wish to register for the course.
