This course, offered as a part of all three tracks in the program, is focused on knowledge and experiential learning using the group as the unit of attention. Course content includes process, stages of development, leadership skills, therapeutic factors, and problematic issues for groups of clients who are mentally ill, developmentally disabled, struggling with addiction or who have co-occurring disorders. The student participates as a member in a peer group to complement classroom theoretical constructs. This course must be completed with a āCā or higher.
