Description:
A practical introduction to current and traditional theories and practices of interpersonal communication. The course will include experiences in such interpersonal speech communication situations as: interviewing, effective listening, interpersonal conflicts, and nonverbal communications. Emphasis will be placed upon understanding the principles of interpersonal communication, and the student will be provided the opportunity to examine and develop his/her own communication skills. (Usually offered Fall and Spring semesters) Meets SUNY General Education requirement for Basic Communication (BC)
